Elemental Collection Overview

The Elemental Collection is our story of sculpted geometric rugs: modern, textural rugs woven from recycled fibers and carefully carved to bring each motif to life. Designed in a shared palette of soft neutrals, misty blues, and earthy greens, these pieces sit quietly in a room but still feel special. Layer them into living rooms, bedrooms, or home offices when you want clean lines, subtle dimension, and a look that feels considered, not fussy.

About the Elemental Collection

Textural, modern rugs woven from recycled fibers in a curated, coordinated palette.

At Well Woven, we travel the world to work with mills and weavers who share our obsession with detail. Elemental is the result of that collaboration: a collection of machine-woven rugs crafted from recycled fibers, then sculpted with careful carving around each motif.

Each design in the Elemental Collection is built on clean geometry—triangles, bands, lines, and gentle waves—so the rug feels modern and architectural without overwhelming the room. The high-low carving creates a soft, tactile texture underfoot and a subtle shadow effect that reads as depth, not loud pattern.

A single, curated color creel runs through the entire collection: soft greys, warm sands, muted blues, and earthy greens. That means Elemental rugs easily coordinate with each other and with our Coda Collection, making it simple to build a connected story from room to room.

Because these rugs are machine-woven from recycled yarns, they’re designed for real life: low, dense pile that’s easier to clean and comfortable underfoot, with patterns that help disguise everyday wear. Think layered over wood floors in a living room, grounding a bed in a primary suite, or bringing quiet structure into a home office.

If you love modern, design-driven spaces but still live with kids, pets, and real-life mess, Elemental gives you both: a considered, textural look and materials made to be lived on.

FAQs

1) Are rugs from the Elemental Collection machine washable?

Yes — Elemental rugs are machine washable for everyday life. Smaller sizes like 5x7 can fit in many home washers. Larger sizes (like 8x10 and 9x12) are washable too, but they can be heavy and bulky, so a large-capacity washer or a laundromat/commercial machine is usually the easiest option.

2) Can I put an Elemental rug in the dryer?

No. Air dry only. After washing, hang dry or lay flat to dry completely.

3) How do I wash it?

For best results: wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Avoid bleach. Air dry only.

4) Can I spot clean it between washes?

Yes. For spills or everyday messes, blot first, then clean with mild household detergent and water. A soft brush or cloth is great for light scrubbing.

5) Are Elemental rugs stain-resistant?

Yes — they’re made with stain-resistant yarns designed for everyday messes. Quick cleanup is best, but the materials are built to handle real life.

6) Can I use a robo vacuum? What about regular vacuuming?

Yes. Regular vacuuming is recommended, and a robo vacuum is fine for daily upkeep. This helps keep the rug looking fresh between washes.

7) Can I use a household carpet-cleaning machine?

Yes. A household carpet cleaner can be a good maintenance option between washes, especially in busy rooms.

8) Do I need a rug pad?

We recommend a rug pad for grip and comfort, especially on hard floors and in high-traffic rooms.

9) What materials are Elemental rugs made with?

Rugs from our Elemental Collection are made with non-virgin materials chosen for high resilience, long-wearing performance, and a premium feel.

Elemental — Sizing Micro-Guide

Quick sizing tip: When in doubt, size up—larger rugs tend to make spaces feel more intentional and pulled together. 5x7 is a great fit for bedrooms, offices, and smaller seating areas. 8x10 is the most versatile option for living rooms and dining rooms, especially if you want front furniture legs on the rug. 9x12 works best for bigger living rooms and open-concept spaces where you want the rug to define the seating zone. (For care: 5x7 is typically easier in a home washer, while 8x10/9x12 are heavier and may be best in a large-capacity/laundromat washer. Air dry only.)
