Design custom runnerShort answer: yes. A rug pad is the quiet layer that makes every rug better — softer underfoot, safer on your floors, and steady in place instead of bunching at the corners.
Our three pads share the same 1/4" dense-felt construction and the same Easton, PA workshop. They differ on one axis only: what shape and size you need. Pre-made pads ship ready for standard rugs. Custom area pads are cut to any rectangle up to 12' wide. Custom runner pads are cut to any length for hallways, kitchens, and narrow entries.
Size the pad roughly 1" smaller on each side than your rug so the edges stay hidden. Everything else — grip, cushion, floor protection — is already handled by the felt.
Which pad fits your room
*Exclusions apply. Custom rugs are non-returnable.
Yes. A rug pad protects your floors from scratches, extends rug life by reducing wear, and keeps your rug from sliding.
If your rug is a standard size, choose pre-made. If your rug is an unusual rectangle, choose custom area. If you are padding a hallway, kitchen, or narrow runner, choose custom runner.
Size the pad about 1 inch smaller on each side than your rug, roughly 2 inches total per dimension, so the edges stay hidden.
Yes. All three pads use dense felt that can be trimmed at home with sharp household scissors.
All three pads are 1/4 inch thick: cushioned enough to feel better underfoot, but low-profile enough for most door clearances.
Pre-made pads ship quickly in stock sizes. Custom area and custom runner pads are cut to order and typically ship within 1-3 business days.
No. The felt is safe on hardwood, tile, laminate, and vinyl, with no adhesive backing or plasticizers.
