Custom Runner Rug Pad

Most rug pads at this price are 1/8" foam. Ours are 1/4" dense felt at 15 oz/sq yd, with a natural rubber base that grips without staining or stripping floor finishes.

The felt is thick enough to actually cushion underfoot, dense enough to keep its shape for years, and engineered with our suppliers — not a generic OEM pad with our name on it. Cut and finished by hand to your spec.

Short answer: yes. A rug pad keeps your rug from sliding, protects your floors from scratches, adds cushion underfoot, and helps your rug last longer. It’s the upgrade you didn’t know you needed — until you try walking on a rug without one.

All hard surfaces. Hardwood, engineered wood, tile, laminate, vinyl, LVP/LVT, concrete, and stone. The natural rubber base grips without leaving residue, transferring color, or stripping floor finishes — unlike cheap PVC pads that can dry out, crumble, and stick to your floor after a couple of years.

Not recommended for rubber-backed rugs or radiant-heated floors above 85°F.

Five to seven years for most homes — longer in low-traffic rooms. The dense felt holds its loft, and the natural rubber base won’t dry out or crumble the way budget pads do. You’ll know it’s time to replace when the grip starts to slip, the felt has compressed flat, or you can feel the floor through it underfoot.

Absolutely. Grab household scissors and trim to any shape or size. We recommend cutting 1–2 inches smaller than your rug on each side so the pad stays hidden beneath the edges.

Minimal effort. Periodically lift your rug and give the pad a shake or quick vacuum. If a spill soaks through, blot the pad dry and let it air out before putting the rug back. No washing or special cleaning required.

Order the pad 1–2 inches shorter and narrower than your runner so the pad stays fully hidden underneath. We’d rather you have a pad that’s slightly small than one that peeks out at the edges.

Yes. The natural rubber base grips bare wood, tile, vinyl, and laminate without tape or glue. For stairs, we recommend trimming the pad to the tread depth (not over the riser) so it doesn’t bunch when you step down.

Hallway and stair runs are never a standard length. Selling by the linear foot lets you order the exact length your space needs — no waste, no compromise. We cut from continuous rolls so your pad arrives sized to your runner. Final sale; cuts are made-to-order.
