About the artist
Artist bio
Claire Desjardins is an award-winning abstract painter based in Gore, Quebec, and Sarasota, Florida. She grew up in Montreal and spent many childhood summers in Vermont, where the woods, light, water, and changing seasons became part of how she looks at colour.
Her abstract paintings take their cues from nature but stay personal and intuitive: animated brushwork, layered shapes, negative space, and colour relationships that feel immediate and alive. She exhibits across North America, and her work is held in private and corporate collections around the world.
Beyond the canvas, Claire has brought her artwork into interiors, housewares, apparel, package design, and other everyday forms. HOLIDAY EVERYDAY continues that idea with rugs: not flat reproductions, but translations that keep the feeling, movement, and joy of the original paintings close to daily life.

The rugs are translations, not flat reproductions. We worked to keep the feeling of the original paintings: the colour relationships, the movement, the open space, and the sense of a human hand. Because every screen is different, rug photography and detail views will help you choose with confidence.

Yes. These pieces are expressive, but they are meant to be lived with. The low-profile construction is easy to vacuum and designed for rooms where people gather, pets wander through, meals happen, and colour becomes part of daily life.
Vacuum regularly. A beater bar can be used on a low or medium setting; avoid high-power settings that pull too aggressively at the surface. For spills, blot right away with a clean cloth and use mild detergent with lukewarm water when needed. Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears evenly over time.
We'll show the collection with rug photography and close-up detail views at launch. Colour can shift from screen to screen, so those images will be there to help you understand the palette, texture, and scale before choosing.
A rug pad is recommended. It helps the rug stay in place, adds cushion, protects the floor, and helps the rug wear more evenly over time.
