Will my rug really be the exact size I enter?

Accepted Answer

Yes — to the inch. Each rug is hand-cut to the width and length you specify in our Easton, PA workshop. Slight variation up to 5% can occur in the weaving itself (industry standard for any rug), but the finished cut matches your spec.

What if my room isn’t a perfect rectangle?

Accepted Answer

Most rooms aren’t. We recommend ordering a rectangle that fits your largest open floor area — most furniture overlaps the rug edge anyway. For L-shapes, alcoves, or non-standard layouts, call us at 973-860-0520 and we’ll talk through it.

How do I measure my room?

Accepted Answer

Measure the open floor space you want covered. For most living rooms, the rug should end 12–18 inches from the wall on each side. In dining rooms, add 24 inches beyond the table on every side so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out. See the full size guide →

Can I return it if I get the size wrong?

Accepted Answer

Custom rugs are final sale — once we cut, the piece can’t go back on a roll. If you’re between sizes, round up rather than down (extra rug looks intentional; coming up short doesn’t). If something arrives defective, contact us within 48 hours and we’ll make it right.

Should I order a sample first?

Accepted Answer

Especially for custom orders, yes. Most styles offer a 12&Prime;×12&Prime; sample for a small fee — color and texture render very differently in person than they do on a screen, and a sample lets you commit with confidence to a piece you can’t return.

How long will it take?

Will the high pile crush in high-traffic areas?

Accepted Answer

Slightly, yes — but it bounces back. Vacuum across the pile (not against it), rotate the rug every 6 months, and consider a denser low-pile style for entries and halls where crushing is most visible.
